I've just recently received the "Toulouse-Lautrec" biography written by Gerstle Mack which was first published in 1938.
In preparation for this book Gerstle sought out Jane Avril to chat about Lautrec and the time in which he lived focusing i'm sure on the 1890's when both stars were at their brightest!
Gerstle devotes a whole chapter on Jane Avril which I'm looking forward to getting to and hoping it might reveal something new about her.
